In short
- The Bundvera app processes your project files only on your computer. Nothing is uploaded.
- There’s no account and no telemetry by default.
- If you email us for beta access or support, we use your message to answer it. It doesn’t subscribe you to marketing.
Data the app processes on your computer
To check a project, the app reads the files in the folders you choose, including their names, sizes and contents, and computes SHA-256 fingerprints. It also reads Premiere Pro project files in those folders to find the media they reference. All of this happens locally.
Manifests you save contain, for each file, its path relative to the delivery folder, its size and its fingerprint; a verification ID; the date and time; a delivery name; an optional sender name and note; and the issues recorded at the sender, such as the name of a missing file. They never contain the folder’s location on your computer. Receipts and reports contain the same kind of information in readable form. You decide who receives them.
The app keeps a local history of checks, including the local paths of folders and manifests so you can check again. It stays on your computer and you can clear it in the app. Settings and an optional license key are stored locally too.
Data that can leave your computer
- Update checks. If you turn them on, the app downloads a signed release file from our update server. That server sees your IP address and the time of the request. Nothing else is sent. Not configured in current builds.
- Usage statistics. Off by default and not configured in current builds. If added, they’ll be opt-in, limited to counts such as “a delivery was verified”, and will never include file names, paths, fingerprints, manifest contents or client names.
- Diagnostics. Only if you export a diagnostic file and choose to send it to us. It contains the app version, your operating system, your settings and recent error codes, and no file names or paths.
- Beta and support emails. We receive your email address, your name if supplied, your message and any attachments you choose to send. We use these to answer your request, arrange beta participation and investigate reported problems.
Purchases and licenses
This website accepts no payments or pre-orders today. Before sales open, we’ll update this notice with the payment provider, the data collected at checkout, how license keys are emailed and recovered, and how long purchase records are kept. In the app, license keys are verified locally; activating a key sends nothing to us.
This website
The website serves its fonts, images and scripts itself, and adds no analytics, advertising trackers or cookies. It is hosted by Vercel. Serving and securing the website involves technical request data such as your IP address, the requested URL, browser information and the time of the request.
Service providers and international processing
Vercel provides website hosting. Gmail, provided by Google, handles emails sent to the contact address above. These providers may process technical or correspondence data outside Switzerland, including in the United States. Their notices describe their processing, international transfers and retention: Vercel privacy notice and Google privacy policy. The Bundvera app never sends your project files to these services.
How long data is kept
Local app history stays on your computer until you clear it in Bundvera or remove the app’s data. We keep beta and support correspondence while it is needed to answer the request, manage your beta participation or follow up on a reported problem, and delete it when it’s no longer needed, unless a legal obligation or an unresolved dispute requires otherwise. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us for information about the personal data we hold about you, and for its correction, deletion or restriction, subject to applicable law. You can also withdraw from the beta or object to further contact. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing personal information.
In Switzerland, information about these rights is available from the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). Rights under other applicable data protection laws, such as the GDPR where it applies, remain unaffected.
Changes
We’ll update this page when the software’s behaviour changes, and change the date above.
